CALC is dedicated and committed to providing quality services to our students through recruiting, training and
job placement assistance. It is our goal to assure that every student is given the
opportunity and encouragement to develop to their full potential.
On October 31, 1996, CALC was issued a certificate of approval to operate by the
Illinois State Superintendent of
Education, 100 North First Street, Springfield, Illinois 62777.
The initial educational objective was to provide training in automated office skills for individuals seeking new
office administration careers. The Institution recorded its first course student on November 20, 1996 at its
Alton, Illinois, campus.
On January 1, 1998, CALC opened an extension campus in
Fairview Heights, Illinois,
to better serve the Metro East employment
market of greater St. Louis, Missouri. The extension offers the same courses of study and programs as the main
campus.
On September 22, 2004, CALC, Institute of Technology was nationally accredited by the Commission of the Council on
Occupational Education, 7840 Roswell Road, Building 300, Suite 325, Atlanta, GA 30350.
Currently, CALC fulfills its
mission and vision by delivering instruction
in
three areas of studies: allied
health, information technology and administrative office.
Looking into the future, we will continue to embrace our philosophy that a quality educational experience for
each and every student will be our top priority. Our position as a school is not complete until our students
are trained and placed successfully in a position for which we have properly prepared them.
