CALC's Distance Education Program is designed to address the changing training needs of professionals, and individuals seeking career changes and enhancements. This unique program delivers education Anytime, Anywhere. Students can train at home, while commuting, at the office, anywhere!

The training is delivered via multimedia courseware, loaded onto a laptop computer. In addition to keeping a state of the art laptop computer, the student receives study guides, companion manuals, course books, workplace simulation software, and certification exam preparation materials. The student is also given access to Online Classroom Support with 24 hours a day, 7 days a week expert assistance.

Our Roadmap to Success© guides the student step by step through the courseware, reading resources, assessments, and evaluations. The program allows the student to utilize multiple resources while achieving a complete body of knowledge toward industry certification.

Technology Based Training
Theoretical and practical skill development is facilitated through completion of state of the art, simulation rich, multimedia driven instruction. Companion manuals act as reference guides that summarize the contents of the CDs for quick review.

Challenging interactive tests that simulate the exam to help students evaluate their knowledge and prepare for testing. These are official "Microsoft Approved" tests that give you a feel for the real thing and help you get certified.

Study Guides
Study guides mapped to the certification exams that help focus on knowledge required to pass the exams. Exam Cram™ and Exam Prep™ study guides get you ready for certification.

Simulation Software
This "At Home" experience includes a network simulation, which looks, feels and acts like a real network. This enables you to complete a number of "hands-on" exercises within a simulated network environment without ever leaving your home.

Online Classroom Support
An industry professional is available to answer any questions through Online Classrooms 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Within the Online Classrooms, you can interact with your personal instructor and fellow classmates. The Online Classrooms feature Live Chat, E-mail, Frequently Asked Questions, Message Bulletin Board, Progress Assessments with instant feedback, and Technical Help.

Road Maps
Our Road Map to Success© will guide you step by step through utilizing all multimedia, reference materials, simulations and exercises to gain the required technical proficiencies. These provide guidance to insure all components complement each other to produce a balanced foundation of knowledge.

Laptop Computer
The laptop computer included with enrollment is yours to keep. This training tool will be used to complete the interactive multimedia simulated network activities and practice tests in an environment that is comfortable to you. A customized carry case is also provided.

Windows 2000 MCSE

510 hours

The Network Specialist Program is a 510-clock hour program that utilizes individualized self-study learning components. The program provides an individual with the opportunity to learn technical skills necessary to install, configure, design, manage, administer, maintain and troubleshoot a Microsoft Windows 2000 networked environment. These skills help prepare the student for the Microsoft Certification track of Microsoft Certified System Engineer.
